Gravity

I don't know why it always goes down hill
Just when you think you've gotten to the top of your mountain
The wind always pushes you to stay still
Rolling down, the world just spins around till you can't see straight
Empty feeling with this void I've tried so hard to fill
The things you lost, the things you gained all running in your head
The things we gave up along the way just for a thrill
Now you sit at the bottom and wonder where the time went
The sudden epiphany making your stomach ill
Grab the closest thing, hold on to it and get back up on your feet
You haven't lost until you've given up the will
To fight with all you have, feet sore and bruised heart stuck on your sleeve
Starting on your way back uphill
You pray this time will be the very last time you'll ever have to climb up
In search of something real, until...

...you fall back down and it starts all over again.

**I just wanted to experiment with a rhyming poem..since I don't do those often.
