All hope is lost
At least in his eyes
He no longer cares
He no longer cries

The world is a dark
And cruel place to be
When tomorrow's a day
You aren't sure you will see

He let go of life
He's slowly dying
He stopped believing
He gave up trying

When disease seeps in
It takes control
It changes your life
It kills your soul

He can't feel the care
My heart beats his way
He can't hear the words
I've been dying to say

You inspired my life
You gave me hope
And now its my turn
To help you cope

I hope you read this
I hope you will see
If you can't try for you
Then please try for me.

    Wow. This is so, so very deep. Whoever you wrote this for is extremely lucky to have a friend like you who cares so much.

    ^^Favorite line by far. It sent up chills as soon as I read that stanza. Perfect Raychil. I can't critize anything on this piece because everything about it is perfect; the stanzas, the flow, the word choice. Everything was beautiful. 5/5
