Shayna

Today I broke down.
I cried nonstop for hours on end.
Tears streaming, my face a downpour.
On Highway 191, I lost a very special friend.

They say any moment can stand still,
Shivering, my body uncontrollable quivering.
At this moment I cannot even feel.
Grasping, for any memory of you darling.

That warm smile will be deeply missed.
Your entrance could light any room.
A natural, innocence, lips unkissed.
So sweet, a burning fragrance that consumes

The last time we saw each other.
the wedding down by the falls.
So beautiful, a daughter, sister and mother.
Aged untouched, pure as rain as nightfalls.

No summer will ever be the same.
significant memories, you will always be a time piece.
Chilling, no flame will ever burn the same.
Goodbye Shayna, we love you, and rest in peace.
