Skateboard

by checkerboard   Jul 16, 2008

Some nights i still
wake up and see your picture
your smile makes me cry.
as my tears slide down my cheeks
they fall onto my pillow
and i clutch my sheets
but now your gone
and my hearts a empty hole.
i went to your house
your mum was sitting outside crying
holding your skateboard i got
for you on your 17th birthday i remember how happy
you were, you hugged and kissed me.
i remember how warm you were
and how much love i saw in your
eyes, i would watch you skate for hours.
i was there the day
the car went by and the man
hung out the window with the handgun.
gun shots, your skateboard
rolling down the half-pipe
you're body lying next to mine
you smiled and said
"i love you"
then you closed
your beautiful blue eyes
