Darkness

by Aaron   Jul 17, 2008

I can feel the darkness climbing. Rising something within me from below. It creeps up through my skin and swallows me whole. It consumes me when I take in it's power. From out side in and inside out it takes me and makes me one. One with the darkness, one with my fear one with my death. Inside I die, reaching for salvation praying for the cure. But no help comes, just more darkness. It laughs at me, watches me as I die. It tells me everything will be okay and that I am fine. Soon I believe this lie of false security so I retreat into the shadows and embrace them as deeply as I can. The only thing I can do is let it take me and watch myself die and laugh along while I cry.
