Lost smile in the mirror

by Amaranthine   Jul 17, 2008

Unable to smile...

This world is painful
Struck me down with the devils disgrace
Sucking out the last bit of faith alive
Only fake angels to answer my prayers

All hope is lost...

In search of hope, but hurt every time
Inner conflicts taking me over
Crying to serve no purpose
Rain trying to cover my dry tears

I keep walking...

Screaming for a quick death
Not able to satisfy my hunger
of nightmares that constitute as dreams
Fears to wake my deep slumber

Seeing no reflection in the mirror...
I stop;

Someone whispers my name
Walking closer my cold heart fills with love
Joy over flows of never being alone in the dark again
She was always there lurking in the shadows

I am able to smile.
