Little But Great

by shining moon   Jul 18, 2008

I woke up in that dark midnight
And to a sacred land I took a flight
I landed there and glanced a light
I hurried at once to check the sight

A group of children I have seen
Drawing and painting they have been
But can you imagine what was it all about?

My lord!! They are drawing on the streets
I am sure, no papers or notebooks, no sheets
Little lads are protesting and others remain on seats

Portraying by their delicate hands a situation totally unsettled
Forced on their country by savage groups, mentally crippled

They threw their pure innocence and childhood in a big prison
Deprived their very simple rights and needs which must be given
Pitifully, the rights become dreams and all are being forgotten

Can you just imagine??!!

I felt proudly to witness small kids transforming into great men
They raised their voices , defended themselves very peacefully
So, will we, Muslims, hear their voices and act accordingly
Or pretend we are deaf and prove that we also live blindly??
