Memories, Eternal

Silence
and the echoes creep away
into the darkness, slowly.

Imagine. The pain too great,
the cries too loud.
Memories fading into the mist
like our last goodbye.

I try to forget,
I try to resist,
but I know I am being called.

Breaking free from dreams of death
I know that where I belong is
far, far away from you.

You can't bring me down again.

    Nice poem! It actually sort of reminded me of song lyrics. I like the powering part you know when you read a love poem like this usually its a sad how can I posibly go on writing but this was very powerful and good

    This poem is short, but for being so short it definatly said a lot. I think maybe you could say more, but that's entirely up to you. I love the format though, that was unique. Great job. 5/5. But, there's always more you can say to a short poem. :]
