Fake Smiles

by Nicole   Jul 21, 2008

She walks around with a smile
Standing out on her beautiful face.
She looks as if there's nothing wrong,
Like everything is all in place.

They believe what the outside shows
Instead of seeing what's within.
They ignore her silent cries for help
As she envies her healthy skin.

She wants to live a normal life
But doesn't know how to start.
She wants to leave this life behind
Before it all falls apart.

She looks in the mirror at her reflection
With a single tear dropping to the floor.
All she sees is her false image
That she can't bare to look at anymore.

So as she walks around with that fake smile,
Her mind is filled with sorrow.
She prays for just one miracle,
That life will be better tomorrow.
