Wonder

by H E Losey   Jul 25, 2008

Some times I sit and ponder
Right or wrong my life to change
Live for the future, relive the past
Which path to take? My mind in wonder

In deepest thoughts I find me
Asking "What if..." "What would be now?"
Decisions made in times gone by
Hauntingly reveal what I've come to be

Could I affect those days long past
And just one youthful error change
What a boon t'would be to me
From these doldrums I'd be cast

And then I could sit and ponder
All those bounties I received
Planning of my brilliant tomorrow's
Knowing which path, my life a wonder

I loved this poem, because I can relate to asking myself the things you do as well. The first stanza sounded really great, and I could relate to that one the most. :] 5/5. Well done, keep posting new work.
