Im missing you

by william   Jul 27, 2008

Just now I find
to my surprise,
the strangest things serve to remind
in these hazy, sleepless times,
by accident,not by design,
you creep into my mind....
where are you now?

Over and over
with each sigh that I breathe,
I can scarcely believe
you have taken your leave.....
the loss I grieve.

Even now as I remember
this longing for you,
it pervades the gloom
of this desolate room.....
but where are you?

If you were here to indulge this whim,
I wonder if you would give in..
enfold me in the luxury of your satin skin.....
would it be such a sin?

Together we could ascend
to forbidden heights,
taste every sensual delight
and soar as ecstasy takes flight.....
I crave your presence here tonight.

Cascades of delirium and bliss
could be found in the heaven of your kiss,
as it surged and flowed from those perfect lips;
but now you're gone and here I sit.....
all I can do is reminisce.

Does some other lover rest
beneath a seductive, smooth caress,
to bask in your warmth and tenderness,
leaving me bereft.....
I can only guess....

A beautifully written poem. So tender and full of emotion ... and yet so sad.I loved it. The ending just touched my heart...
