The Joker

by The Joker   Jul 29, 2008

Why can't they see just how funny everything is
how every wisp and every move cause a laugh
out of my lips
the scars stretching much too wide
my eye's of madness shining brightly

The woman is cowering in the corner fear in her eye's
oh why can't she see how funny everything is
her husband lays by my feet
a smile forever frozen upon his face
a giggle escape through my lips
echoing through the walls
crashing to the ground

I skip over to the woman
as light as a laugh
a knife held tightly in my hand
I pull her up and smile at her
"Do you know how I got these scars?" I laugh
shaking her wildly
"I had a wife, such a lovely wife"
I giggle swinging the knife
"But she loved the bottle more than she loved more"
"She used to call me -ah- freak"
I say licking the inside of my cheeks
the woman darts her eye's left and right
trying to escape my dark black ones
"I just wanted to see her smile. She was too serious"
I pause pushing my green hair back
"One day she just had one too many"
I laugh winking
"I needed to see her smile"

The laughs are trying to get out
the voice in my head laughing
laughing at the woman crying
what a wonderful view to laugh at
"So I take a knife, just like this one"
I giggle putting the knife on my mouth
"And I scratch a smile on my face"
what a beautiful smile
"But all she died was scream and scream"
I say darkly
"So I walk over to her and say-"
a crash is heard over in the other room
But I must not stop now
the joke isn't complete
"Let's put a smile on that face"
--------------------------------------
The rain pounds on my face
as he drags me back to the house of voices
filled with fake laugh and discreet smiles
"You never smile" I laugh as I twist and turn
"Why so serious? Don't you smile Batsy?" I mock
tiny laughs coming out of my mouth
"If you have the courage to beat me up, why not let your mask fall to the ground" I giggle trying to get a reaction
He's no fun at all, he won't even kill me
but I'm gonna make him break that rule
he throws me into the cell
a bleak home of white
"Your just dead weight on this town. Stop it" He says
slamming the door
It so dark in this room
but the laughs start coming up
filling the room
I can't stop, what a wonderful thing
now I know I will never be alone
with all these voices in my head
laughing into the darkness of this world

-_-...uh, I have no idea what happened. Um... it was late at night so....yeah. Sorry for such bad poems. I tried my best(cries in corner)
