The Light

Visions encircle my mind
Nightmares haunting my dreams
Visions coming true
Dreams becoming reality.

Trying to find the light
When surrounded by darkness
For so long have I tried
Yet so far I have failed.

Searching for the key
To answer all my prayers
Not knowing where to start
And scared of letting go.

Of all I must leave behind
It almost hurts to let go
Yet knowing it's for the best
I must try to make it right.

Still waiting for the light
Waiting for the key
Waiting to leave the past behind
To start a new beginning.

In the end all I can say
Is I hope I find my happiness
Waiting to dream the brightest light
I've been dreaming so long to see.
