Regret

by Hannah Emellia   Jul 29, 2008

Watch the blood-stained ashes break,
As memories draw thin...
Pick away the edges,
Of the truth that's in your skin.

Painful, yet reviving-
watch it dripping, you're relieved.
Gashes mark the troubled path,
Of the lies you once believed.

Sulking while inhaling-
Acid air through mists of hate,
Falling through Hell's tunnels,
Just a cursed reprobate.

Twisted in the webbing...
Of a wayward strand of fate...
One for all...and all is lost,
I've tried- but it's too late.

*I really loved this part. You use such strong words to describe your pain. I love the imagery and the style is one I know well. Very well written poem. Keep it up. Nik*
