First love

by Toxic Perfection   Jul 31, 2008

I am so sad
So happy, so mad
I'm filled with emotions un-named
I looked into his eyes
As blue as blue sky's
Suddenly love hit me, un-tamed.

Quickly i felt
Like my body might melt
Under the heat of his gaze
My heart simply racing
My mind quickly spacing
My skin was abruptly ablaze.

It was as if
I jumped off a cliff
And was filled with that very same high
Nothing else mattered
Whether i was perfect or tattered
Or whether it was March or July.

First Love is so strange
Yet such a simple exchange
That its weird that it hit me with force
The words I love you'
Can change yellow to blue
And it was like suddenly nature changed course.

My emotions are surprised
As i just realized
That to me he confessed his love
And that moment so right
On this dark, starry night
It felt as if it fit like a glove.

Such a mature work to write about, but you captured the emotions of the moment.

    Great job. 5/5
