Iris

by Bare My Paradox   Jul 31, 2008

Iridian carpets swiftly fly
Crystalline,iridescent-lustrous alae,
Harmonious,in melody- sweet aria
As my presence glitters in the sky

Prismatic hues embrace me
The diadem of love,of light-
Kaleidoscopic chromes waltz around me
My aureole brightens life

Vague ideas of happiness
Caper about my mind
The delirious enthusiasm
That colors my rainbow bright...

I rest here in eternal peace
Gazing upon the cradle of life
As halcyon shades-captivate the day
And argent hope-colors the night

** Was written for a contest. Picture prompt. An angel of rainbow shades was sitting in the blue velvet sky, her black hair like ebony floating, her translucent wings drenched in myriad colors ...gazing 'neath the clouds midst the shimmering stars-that was the picture given.
Is my poem justifying it? If you rate it a high or a low please comment why? It would just help me improve :).
Thank You*
