Bright Hope

by Emily   Aug 1, 2008

O Lord, You are the bright hope that shimmers in my soul,
You have calmed my restless heart into a quiet pool,
Savior, You and You alone have made my being whole,
Your worth is too great to measure,
My Savior, my God, my dearest treasure.

Once I was lost, so hopeless and so empty within,
Obsessed with myself, blindly obeying my nature of sin,
Until You claimed me as Your own and Your light came flooding in,
Released from the clutches of Night,
Sweet Savior, my own pure, cleansing light.

Now my life is all Yours, an unworthy offering,
To give to You, my Savior, my great and glorious King,
Whose praises even angels are unworthy to sing.
I stand speechless in awe and in fear,
In the presence of the God I love so dear.

What a beautiful tribute to our lord, i was most humbled when i read it and i'm sure it would have been recieved as an offering with open arms. Very well written
