Waiting

by Deana   Aug 1, 2008

Waiting

Through the darkness,a brighter day
A winding road along the way
Just around the curve ahead
You are waiting

Across the distance ,a welcome smile
A hand to hold ,to rest awhile
In the sunsets fading glow
You are waiting

Always with me, though you're not there
No gentle touch, to show you care
Every night beyond the sleep
You are waiting

In fantasy ,a lost retreat
To live and love in passion sweet
To sail away in midnight blue
Are you waiting...are you?

This poem is wonderful. Beautiful flow, very emotional. I really think this poem was very deep.

    Keep on writing. :)

    Deana,

Your poems have such a genuine touch to them. How awful it would be if one would one day lose all hope and would no longer be willing to wait:(
A very powerful verse and I truly enjoyed reading it:)

WoW! I not easily impressed but the power of this poem, the simplicity of its phrasing and the strength of your word choice add to the heartfelt magic I feel in it.

Damn, this is good. It hit me right in the heart and has touched me like most writers cannot.

*Bows Low* I am honored to have read such a masterful piece of work.
