Requirement

You are my only weakness
For years I stood guarded and hostile, strong
Piece by piece I've revealed myself with caution
Without you I will not control these tears that flow unbidden
Without you there is infinite emptiness

You are my only thirst
For years I mocked desire, I was above that
Slowly I've become flooded with unquenchable craving
Without you I will search to no avail for an oasis in this desert
Without you there is infinite drought

You are my only need
I lived my entire life without requiring anyone
I have become dependent upon you
Without you I will never be as exquisitely happy as you make me
Without you I cannot survive
