Pretty People

by Kait   Aug 4, 2008

A look in the mirror to a girl you no longer know.
A new look every month, just to fit in.
You long for a little weight loss and a pretty face.
It's so sad that you no longer feel comfortable in your own skin.

You try and try to see what everyone else does.
But, you only point out your flaws.
A damaged heart, an ugly body.
The lowest of self esteem, you have caused.

Years of battling yourself, have left you here.
You want to like yourself, but you may not, you fear.
All that you need is one single person to prove
The image of you is beautiful, and not a thing needs to improve.

So, glance again at the reflection looking back.
Not an ounce of beauty, do you lack.
Now you need to love yourself and see your worth
You need to be you, and not the prettiest girl on earth.
