Pretty Picture In Your Eye

by skynerraw   Aug 4, 2008

Can you really change your views?
Can you really praise death then live?
Ask the pretty picture of your eye
Can you beg your soul to forgive?

Smiles can mean anything
A shadow of the past
Depth less eyes echo horror
Can your will to live last?

No more scars, the eye can see
Label me a worthless child
Ask the pretty picture in your eye
Was that sickness really mild?

You claim to know me
Can you know a piece of art
Pretty pictures paint my face
A smile cracks my broken heart

I broke your soul, try and end my life
hide from the ones who care
To protect them from my harm
I promised to save you, not to share

Why am I meanest, with those I need the most?
Why am I weakest, with those I need to save?
Why can I hide from those who want to be let in?
Why do I hide in the heart of my endless grave?

Ask the pretty picture in your eye
Is everything as it seems
Smiles shadow the face of death
In the sickness of your pretty dreams

Want to make this a game?
Fine, I know how to play
Whoever drops first, wins the prize
Paint the skys a shade of gray

Faceless horrors paint your eyes
Endless screams know your fear
Someday this charade will end
And you'll know the path is clear

But once you know, it's too late
The path is set, fate is wound
Goodbye friends, lovely day
In this terror, you're now bound

In the end, I shall not pray
No one catches my dripping soul
Ask the pretty picture in your eye
Is this in your control?
