YOU AND ME

by michelle   Aug 4, 2008

I look at you from across the room your smile your eyes,
you look at me see eyes that shine eyes you looked into when you kissed me good night,
but behind theses eyes of blue you dint see the hurt i feel from you,

you dint see me lay awake at night unable to fall asleep,
you do not wipe the tears from my cheeks,
you do not hug me when i feel sad
you do not laugh when am being daft.

you do not see me any more because it was me
who pushed you throw the door.
it was me who kissed you goodbye
it was me that did not cry.

it was you who wiped for me,
it was you who screamed in the street.

but its you now across the room with a new girl.
its you with your arm around her skinny wast
its you who's lips she gets to taste.

its me who's sad and mad for giving away the best
thing i ever had.

Michelle, I feel your pain in this write. I think we all have been there before or at least experienced something similar. If you havent noticed. I have been in a bit of a spot myself lately with being torn. I can sympathize with you on this. It is hurtfull and frustrating at the same time. Just keep doing what you are doing and let it out through your poems. It was a great poem. I enjoyed reading it.
