A poem for you

by Laurenf7   Aug 4, 2008

This is a poem for my best friend of 12 years now.

You didn't want a poem
Or so I was told
But our memories are endless
Friendship cherished as gold.

We met as playful toddlers
Arguing over a doll
We have had many years of laughter
Ones I can easily recall.

We used to share a postcode
Our houses only ten steps away
Two joyful girls
Who would happily play.

In most recent years
People have gone and past
You are not one of those
I feel our friendship will last.

For now, you are my other half
The one who makes me whole
Your house is my second home
Everything about me - you know.

Because its always been just you and me against this
world.
