Two Years

by Laurenf7   Jul 3, 2010

The world is still turning
With each passing day
Places are constantly changing
Now different from where you stay.

I am finally beginning to accept
Your death released you from pain
God took you for one reason:
An angel he wanted to gain.

I have a colorful box
Where our memories are locked up tight
I think about you during the day
And say a small prayer before bed each night.

I wish I could hear your thoughts
On the person I am growing to be
We'd joke about my lack of height
But I'm pretty certain you can see.

This month marks your anniversary
It will be two years to the day.
Granda, I'll never forget you
For in my heart you'll always stay.
