The little golden fairy
Is really quite unique
Ultimate perfection
Surrounded by mystique

She will not play with fire
You need not tame the shrew
Giving everything she has
Her heart never untrue

But once she did a wonder
Upon a serpent plane
Bidding fruitful pleasure
Admiration cloaked by bane

Twas then she was found naked
Shut away in a box
Her glowing light began to fade
While Fastened in her stocks

She pleaded with the naga
"Oh please give back my heart..
my gift of life is leaving me
and soon it will depart"

The snake began to snigger
At the fairy's trembling fright
Silently he left her cold
Not concealing his delight

crouching in the corner
Nothing left to implore
The frosted walls against her skin
She gives up, that's it, no more.

She has a dream, a final sight
Eros breaks the glass
He scoops her up and soars away
The snake he did surpass

There she wakes on cherished hill
Beside a golden stream
She smiles like once she forgot
To realise its no dream

But her wings are now cut shorter
And although she may try
The beautiful young fairy
Finds it very hard to fly

Yet she has learnt a lesson
And Chronus will repair
So next time she goes flying
Her heart will be aware
