The Second Time*

by Charlie   Nov 7, 2008

Once again here comes the night
sweeping darkness feel him bite
he jumps and cracks and takes the eyes
with wispers screaming out the lies

can you hear the laughing boy
excitement as he finds his toy
running time to win the race
a new edition takes your place

lost your footing? feel the pain
pushed right off the path again
foot prints, where?? theres only mine
crawling back a second time

"forget me not" its never true
and once again your telling you
never give away yourself
your heart and soul are your own wealth

but pity does not run with me
the second time was there to see
so pick yourself up of the floor
and walk again.. a fool no more
