Impatient

by Toxic Perfection   Aug 8, 2008

Your sitting there waiting
for the love of your life
one to call you his own
and call you his wife.

Waiting for that certain person
to sweep you off your feet
and with his smile alone
will make you complete.

For the person who's kisses
are so passionately deep
that it should be illegal
for they make you smile and weep.

This person who won't
ever break your heart
but the opposite instead
cause they put together from the start.

The person you'll wait for
for hours on end
on the front porch in the rain,
you'll smile when he comes over the bend.

i really should know
I've been there before
But my patience isn't perfect
it broke when it started to pour.

I then realized
i don't want to wait
for the person who will
just open the gate.

i shouldn't have to wait
i said to myself
like a statue-still trophy
high on a shelf.

I decided to find him
to search high and low
and go through the places
i didn't want to go.

As i donned my rain jacket
and put up the hood
i was just being silly
and work this never would

I could never just go
out and suddenly see
the man of my life
with whom i wanted to be

I laughed to myself
then i went back inside
no matter how impatient i was
i could not swim this tide

i shall go back to waiting
for however long
till the end of the earth if i could
if i could ever be that strong.

So those people who are waiting
stay where you are
and wait for that man.
that one shooting star.

(Started to run out of ideas! Hopefully it makes sense. Flow isn't perfect, but it doesn't have to be does it?
it just makes it that much more interesting. ;] )

I thought the flow was fine. It moved along like a story with the beginning, middle and end.

    5/5
