A Daddy

by H E Losey   Aug 8, 2008

The girl-child grows and it
first appears
That none but her Daddy is
needed near
This holds true till she grows older
and finds
That pseudo-friends and the opposite
sex fills her mind
Through each new friendship and
courtship failed
This girl-child's love of Daddy does
none but grow pale
Though his place is taken in her heart,
mind and soul
This Daddy's love of child never
lessens nor grows cold

The rhythm was odd. But it is a very sweet thing to write about the bond between a daddy and his little girl!
