Alzheimer's

by SoUrNameIsTia   Aug 9, 2008

Mind stripped of normal reactions,
and replaced with life time worries,
with crazy fake images dancing across his mind.

A poor man,
a poor grandfather,
sits on a new life style,
forcing to forget his past,
and his family.

I'm known as "sweetie",
and "doll"
for he does not know my name,
just lost his jungle of a mind.

Thrashing out,
mean curse words,
to people who just want to help,
threatening to take his own life,
because he just cant understand,
it gets hard,
for a man in a 88 year old body,
to be stuck in a 3 year old mind.

I love my grandfather,
even if he doesn't know who I am,
and even if i don't know what he used to be,
we all know,
that he's still a good man at heart.
