Five sense life

by joanne   Aug 9, 2008

Raise your palms if you feel that pain
Shout to the sky what can't be contained
Spill the tears when death spreads
Selling your body to buy some bread
Lie to the gods to cover up guilt
Watching indecent flowers (life) wilt

Raise your palms if you hear that sound
Not letting their voice be bound
Standing up to sing for joy
Even after injury they employ
Not judging the poor and humble
But preaching voice to no more mumbles

Raise you palms you smell that stench
Your whole life you're sitting the bench
The law leaves you homeless, out to dry
Diseases take control your ready to die.
Get medications, newest addictions
While self pain leads more inflictions

Raise your palms you taste that air
Blood, sweat, and tears unable to bear
The war of your mind leaves you crazy
Rope around your neck, all goes hazy
You've given up on life after nothing
Your insides scream to stop this suffering

Raise your palms if you see those graves
Each one a part of you that wasn't brave
Each represents how you gave up the good
And gave up on the I think I could
It's left you alone living in trash
Skin and bones left still to get bashed
