Broken Box

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Aug 11, 2008

The pretty little music box
Filled with lights and sound
All the joy it brings to you
As tiny dancer spins around

What happens when the dancer
Finishes her last twirl
Lies broken in the arms
Of a crying little girl

The Christmas present toy box
Put there to bring her peace
Now laying in a dumpster
On a narrow, December street

The point of the story
Is quite easy to see
Thrown away is where the box belongs
The broken box is me...

So actually...i took this ((for me)) to be about somebody else I know..my little..never mind.

this is great, really. the metaphors are nice and the fact that you explained them was good. but jesse, she's not gonna throw you in the dumpster...
