A most different kind of angel

by jasmine   Aug 11, 2008

You have met your angel
i have met a different kind
not of sweetness and light
nor is she regal elegance

perfectly imperfect
she is grit and raw brilliance
an awkward mass of vivid luminescence
an angel of mystifying contradictions
her tongue unparalleled by any sword
yet her warmth cannot be denied
envelopes you in a cocoon like embrace
a sensitive soul of a poet that hides
beneath the barbed sardonic of a cynic
a skeptic whose insights delight
the most rapturous optimists

a love maverick
of the truest kind
