Trust me, it's like this:

Such is life, at this point in time.

-Think of your favorite food, now think of someone burning the hell out of it then giving it to you.

-Think of your favorite CD, but oh shit you were walking with it and you dropped it and it rolled down a gutter.

-You just got the most bangin looking ice cream cone, but then someone walks by and knocks your arm and your ice cream falls forlornly on the ground, and you think, "Damn that was my last 3 bucks..."

-You called your local radio and won 2 front row tickets to see your favorite band in concert, but you excitedly hung up and didn't give him all of your information so now you have to actually buy tickets, but guess what? ITS SOLD OUT

-Think of your favorite article of clothing, now think of it having a hole or a stain on it that is just so ridiculous that it must be rendered unfix able. So you try to buy another one but it was last season stuff so they don't carry it anymore.

-You just got a cat and your really excited, but secretly your dad hates them so one day while your at school he lets it out the back door and you never see it again.

-When you love someone, but when you tell them they don't say they love you back.

-It's like planning the perfect outside day and the weather man says its going to be 85 and sunny, but when you wake up its 52 and pouring.

-It's like winning the lottery and being really excited, but when you get there to claim your miraculous prize you come to find that you only won 50 bucks.

-It's like having a girlfriend but you can never hug or kiss her because she's in school in another state.

-You're waiting in like for tickets for 16 hours you are even prepared to sleep there to hold your place but as soon as you get to the ticket desk they say that they sold out and you will have to come back another day.

-It's like being a diligent working recovering alcoholic you've been counting days and haven't had a drink in 9 months, but you cave and now you can't even begin to explain how horrible you feel.

-It's like slaving for hours writing a 5 page paper and your finally done, then your computer freezes then crashes and you realize you forgot to save it.

-It's like writing someone a letter to tell them how you feel, but now you see that it's to late and they've even moved past being your friend.

-Trying to sleep when you know/ hear the person you like hooking up with your best friend at that very moment, but you could never tell them how you feel.

-It's like not cutting in 7 months, but when feelings get to hard to take you fall back in to the arms of your sharp familiar friend and relapse.

-It's like rushing to get a huge project done in an obscene amount of time, then finding out that it wasn't due for another week.

-It's like expecting that someone is going to say something profoundly wonderful to you but then all they say is, "Do you want ketchup with that?"

-It's like knowing you have to tell someone something, and you know in your heart it is going to be the most difficult thing you will ever do because you don't want them to get hurt.

-It's like when the music is so loud and your singing with it, and then someone turns it off you're still belting it out and everyone stares at you.

-When you write a paper and its really freaking good, but when you turn it in your teacher says, "Nice idea, but this isn't what the paper was supposed to be about.."

-Knowing that no matter how hard you try it will never be good enough for some people.

-It's like when your friend is in pain and you want to help them but in the process they just think your trying to hurt them so they get mad at you and you feel like you failed them.

-When you want to save everyone, but you sadly come to the conclusion that you can't even help yourself.

-When you want to do something monumental with your life and you know what but you just can't quite grasp it or hold on to it hard enough or long enough it make it real.

-It's like praying and asking God to help make things better, but they just progressively get worse.

-It's like knowing that your going on a trip to escape from everything, but then you realize that you have to wake up at 3 in the morning to get to the airport.

Long-story-short;
You're a trooper if you read all that.

And it is appreciated.

Hi page, i guess i'm the first trooper on here. lol talk about some series of unfortunate events; and if you've overcome all these ironic messes, i give you lots of props. there were moments throughout the poem that made me real sad yet laugh at the same time. i think that sometimes it's best to take all those awful situations and embrace them as a once in a lifetime experience you can look back and joke upon. :) overall, great write. i truly enjoyed it. 5/5 all the way girl. hugs.
