This is me

by Searching for Guidance   Aug 13, 2008

I'm not wrong nor am I bad,
Regardless of what preconceptions you had.
You don't know me nor do you care
All you can do is insult my hair
Insult my life, my way of being,
Look at me externally not even seeing
Who I truly am inside.
For if you did you'd surely hide
Embarrassed by all the pain you did embark
By rude remark, after remark.
But I am stronger than you think.
This will make me grow, rather than shrink.
I won't insult you, nor will I care
What you've said about my hair.
Your harmful words just a hurtful attack
If you knew me you'd take them all back.
Why you hate me, I'm not sure?
Nor would I care, even if I were
You have no control over me.
After all, don't you see?
Through all this you're only making me better
By showing me the person I NEVER want to be.

This was to my x's sister. I went to school with her and she continually liked to make up things to tell to Michael. It was all very stressful.
