Toy Soldier

by Shadow   Aug 17, 2008

People think I'm a toy,
They send me where I'm needed and traded for bubble gum or a baseball card,
I'm a soldier, with my green outfit and helmet I even have my rifle,
But people think I'm just a toy that sits on a self waiting to be used but I'm not just a toy I'm a net to catch the fallen,
I live for the moment my key is turned so I may I turn a frown upside down or even drying those tears of a little child. But I also live for the moment when my key is turned so I may march to war for those who are dearest to me,
so that they may not suffer, even if no one likes me.
I not just a toy I'm a human but no one will ever know.
My smile will never disappear nor my face sadden for those that need me, need to see a smiling soldier....
