The Devil's Puppet

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Aug 19, 2008

I got up this morning,
With a voice in my head
Telling that He wants
Certain people dead.

So I got dressed
And painted my face black.
I put a mask over my head -
There was no turning back.

Looking in the mirror
I admired my Joey Jordison outfit.
Yeah, I looked like Slipnot's Drummer alright -
Today no one would call me a misfit!

So I packed my samurai sword -
I was ready to do His will.
I swear He told me to do it,
I swear it still.

He pointed out the kid -
A little 16 year old boy.
Then I stabbed him in the neck,
I cannot explain the joy!

I went slightly crazy, though
And stabbed a few more.
I knew what I was doing,
Yes, I knew what was in store.

Watching the blood
Pool around them,
I realised that my rampage
Had now come to an end.

I sat and spoke to people
But the didn't understand
That I had done this deed
For the "Bigger Man".

Police sirens sound,
And cops come storming in,
Can they not understand?
This is not a sin!

I did what I was told to do,
Yes, I did His will.
I swear it was not my actions,
Yes, I swear it still.
