Deadlight

Gazing into the infinite night sky
oblivious to the fact
that the stars bright light
may never make it back

so wave goodbye
as the dead light passes by

now sadden by the state
that the star's light is now dead
never coming back again
it lays in rest instead

we may never be blessed by its heavenly presence again
so wave goodbye for the very last time
because you have lost another friend
