Mother Sadness

I noticed that on those days
When the sun does not shine
I pretend that all's happy
So that the you do not cry

But what about me how is it I feel
Why should I have to change
What I feel is real

Like a broken flower in the cold
In harsh wind
I will hang on so tightly
Hanging on by my limbs

Like that day in the winter when I told you a lie
Well I'll tell you again only this time I'll smile
Because you do not deserve me even when our flower dies

I have given you all my heart and my soul
I have tried to make this better
But when I need you more than ever
You just leave me down in this hole
