Life's joy

I stare past the misty window,
searching for a faint glow.
A mellow song slowly swelling,
my heart is calmed now that it's raining.

Let me drown in this heaven's grace,
let me feel the rain's embrace.
I am the barren earth that struggles in strife,
it is the rain that gives me life.

I wish that this downpour would never end,
and I wouldn't have to pretend.
Let my heart break within fears,
let my voice shout within tears.
