The wolf

by dante   Aug 22, 2008

At the spire of a rocky hilltop
Do you see me amongst the tall oaks
I am the white wolf howling in the wind
The wise face of the park and the strength within

I am the hunter in the woods
The silent stalker who catches his prey with a ruthless snarl
the one who tears out the throat and cuts life short

I am the strength of the wild
Untamed and free
The ancient spirit of an unkept power

I am the leader of the pack
The alpha of the clan
The scars of battle littering the body of an untamed beast

I am life
The wild spirit of a land incarnate
And I shall never fade
