Misled

by My Decadent   Aug 22, 2008

Manipulated by the perfection of her skin,
I failed to see what truly lies within;
The glare within her eyes fixed upon my face
Bypassed through my senses, disappearing without trace.

Left to breathe the shallow suffocation of her breath,
My lungs denied me life, inhaling only death.
The sweetness of her voice infatuated my ears,
Devouring the fortress I built through these years.

Abandoning the corpse of our love in her mind,
She buried her feelings never to find
Nor space. nor time for the emotions we shared,
The dreams that we had, the happiness we beared.

Dismembering Cupid, she unleashed the rage
She tried to keep safe in its own cage;
His screams - sweet music to her hearing.
His pleas - nothing enough to be forgiving.
