For The Fallen

by Unrequited   Aug 25, 2008

Back street
scar
upon a
silhouette

deep
anger, knocking
at
graveyard stone.

aging tears
dropped
onto an
autumn leaf

trapped
in mid-air,
holding strong
for a lover's
courage.

and nowhere
to
return!
the wise
may not enter,

loving hands
ripped
open without
a home.

but for
heaven!
take faith
beyond
rosebud clouds

where
moons fight
to heal
your wounds.

final tear
shed
for the fallen

calloused hands
wrap around
the last
summer
flame,

for soon
comes
frozen stars,
born in
ageless winter.
