Him

by HidinVictim   Aug 25, 2008

I smell his sent
Even when he's not around
Feel his touch
Even when I can't be found

Imagine him
Gentle touching my lids
His finger trailing to my lips

He's memorizing me
I'm memorizing him
With passion locked inside
Love I tried to hide

He'll teach me
I'll teach him

He'll hold me with power
The strength of a warrior
The gentleness
Of a father
Holding his newborn daughter

With sweet caresses
Like a honey dust feather

Love for him
No longer pending
I'll give him my heart
If he'll forgive me

No longer my choice
To keep him around
My need for him
Like gravity needs
The ground.

That is, in my opinion, the greatest feeling of all. I've never had a daddy so I don't know what the gentleness is like exactly, but I can imagine it. And when I read that stanza my heart just exploded. I LOVE that feeling.

    "No longer my choice
    To keep him around
    My need for him
    Like gravity needs
    The ground. "

I love that too! Needing someone seems so...childish, but yet, it really isn't a childish thing. I love the gravity statement. That is really creative. Great write! Keep it up!
