No Longer In Love!

by Dina   Aug 26, 2008

Now, that you've finally left
I can breathe,
I can bound down the streets
Without being lured
Without being captivated
By the chains of an arresting lust,
So cunning , yet so hoary.

Now, I can discern your weakness in the dark,
I can troll through the walls of our past
I can pulverize traumatic memories sculpted
Deftly on a grave of a once gullible mind.

Now, I can pelt away from your shadows
I can demolish your malevolent gaze
I can divulge the cabalistic symbols,
Engraved on your remorseless heart.

No longer am I beneath your wings
of insecurity!
No longer do I feel vulnerable
in the presence of your derisive laughter!
No longer do I become disoriented
when roving in the pupil of your eye!

Now!
Now, I swan around your dingy corridor
With a smile scintillating through a bushel.
