Upon the Illusory Surface

by Nisha   Aug 28, 2008

White innocence.
a solitary lily
blossoming upon the illusory surface
engulfed by darkness
of some vast unchartered water.

there.
lies silence,
sans the echoes
reverberating
across the infinite
ripples
through which reflection
is distorted, devoid of
clarity.

If luminescence could be found
between the gaps of the thick unknown
some eyes to see through blindness
of what surrounds
above.
around.
below.
would it, to a white lily?

In this obscurity
colors vivid contorted
to a photographic memory
black.
white.
Grey and in between.

what
of desire
to gaze upon the labyrinth's intricacies
or remain shrouded
bound by darkness
susceptible to the tide
of vulnerable flesh.

but the question exists
invariably:
undefinable impact
of a white lily
upon the illusory surface
of some vast uncharted water,
where it blossoms,
in white innocence.
