Home, Sweet Death, Home

by InvisiblyHeartless   Aug 30, 2008

Shivers electrocuting my vertebrae without consent
Controlling the senses flowing in my very veins
I lose my sight, no colors, nor even black and white
All noises and music become less than a memory
Finger pads without their average tingling sensation
Words choke me and sputter out soundlessly
The rustic salty smell of blood, no longer am I nauseous

My heart cannot find the needed rhythm to continue
Lungs in sync with the abnormally interrupted flow
Nerve ending tingle and i mentally jump with fright
Thickening red stuff, clotting swiftly, weighing me down
Skin turning a deathly sickening shade of pale
Clothing leaking crucial heat unwisely sending it free
None of these things I can see, just emptiness I know

Struggling to reboot the system, unused brain whirring
A new color blue creeps onto those once vibrant lips
Shadowing her eyes, purple beds lie on her eyelids
Assured that new waves of pain will roll in shortly
The lyrics of the fading song written on her with blood
Her ultimate timing, clock ticking away at a minute to go
The Grim Reaper takes his toll, calling her home
Once and for all.
