A Dream To Make Believe

When i wake i think
dreams are real.
i sleep so i won't
have to feel.
cause while i sleep,
you'll always be,
the one person who
will never forget me.
while I'm there in
our old hiding place,
I'll bring my heart
with me just in case.
just as i start to
drift away, about to wake,
you appear out of
the dark, my world
begins to shake.
out of nowhere, i
feel your hand
clasped with mine.
then give me some-
thing i always wanted,
right from the start,
just like in all my
dreams it was your heart.
then you whispered
to me in my ear.
the words that i love
to always hear.
you said to me in
your small voice
"your the one i need
I've got no choice"
then i finally admit
to you, that you've
always been in my heart.
you made me fall right
from the start.
then you express that
i put all the others to shame.
a single tear fell as i
said "i love you", you
held my waist telling
me you felt the same.
then i would ask how your
life turned out, without me.
you stared at me as you
muttered," babe
without you it was
never all it could be."
i now float away as if i'm
watching us, on how
i'll never know i'm
just dreaming.
