My Shield of Hope

A battle unexplained, a war without cause
I've learnt to fight so well and stand up so strong
The ways of man never shall betray my call
For Iam forever stuck on Your word,
My Shield of Hope

The land is fresh and my heart still yearns,
For the word of life that flows from Your mercy streams
Iam weak but You are strong
And I stand up bold for You are my Shield of Hope

I feel whole, Iam a belonging of the Lord
Nothing will break me down, neither shall I wear out
I will sing a new song and declare that He lives
For deep inside, I know He's my Shield of Hope
