Hiding The Truth

by Amanda   Sep 1, 2008

On the outside a beautiful girl,
On the inside the bruises of the truth.
The hurt and the pain.
The truth versus the lies.
The pain and the smiles.
A smile to hide the truth.
Sleeves to hide the cuts and bruises.
No one understands the pain.
They see right through
The cuts and bruises.
The lies and the tears.
I go home to hatred and beating.
Another mistake, another bruise.
Another tear, another scar.
Scars from the past, scars from the present.
More scars to come with every tear that falls.
Hiding the truth is what I do best.
Showing a smile instead of the cuts.
No one knows the truth.
No one really cares.
The girl I pretend to be.
Happy and cheerful.
Will anyone see the real me?
The pain and tears.
