Mirrors And Windows

by LDA DVA   Sep 2, 2008

Mirrors and windows, her greates fear.
She hides pain well while her heart skips beats clear.
Waves of hurt disguised as words,
Her eyes stay shut like strong steel doors.

She lays there helpless,
not the first time at all.
Counting long seconds, just earshot from call.

Where'd it all go?
All her smiles and laughter.
Now just contentness is what is
chased after.

She was never who she wanted her to be.
Never smart, never pretty.
Just a girl with a black heart
no one person would ever see.

A disapointment is what she was,
embaressing, cowardly, closed up
like the windows she gazed outwardly.

Lost in the dark, no point left to breathe.
Left hopeless here, just laid at her feet.
More tears, more pain, does she have the courage
to get away agian?
